- Born in Portlaoise in 1963. Winner of the Patrick Kavanagh Award 1990. Author of poetry and short fiction for adults and children, as well as four non-fiction titles.
- Most recent publlications are New and Selected Poems (Salt Publishing, UK, 2005), and an expanded and updated edition of his popular writers' handbook, The Portable Creative Writing Workshop (New Island, 2005).
- Editor/publisher of the Dedalus Press, one of Ireland's major poetry publishers.
- Presenter of the weekly half-hour Poetry Programme on Ireland's RTÉ Radio 1.

- Was born in London and raised in Nenagh, Co.Tippery. He attended Ardcroney NS and St. Joseph's CBS and studied philosophy in UCG, where he was a founder of the rock group Toasted Heretic.. He now lives in Berlin.
- His new novel Jude: Level 1 was published in July 2007.
- Was the winner of the UK's 2007 National Short Story Prize for The Orphan and the Mob.

Vincent McDonnell

- An award-winning author of books for adults and young readers. Born in County Mayo, he worked in England for a number of years. He now lives in County Cork with his wife and son.
- He has previously written two adult novels and four novels for children. The Broken Commandment, his first novel for adults, was published after a recommendation by Graham Greene and won the GPA First Fiction Award in 1989.
- Vincent gives readings and workshops all over Ireland, and has attended events such as the Listowel Writers Week and Wexford Arts Festival. Currently Writer in Residence for County Cork, he has also served two terms as writer in residence for County Limerick. He has built up strong relationships with libraries and numerous schools in Limerick & Cork, which he regularly visits.
- Vincent won the 2003 Francis McManus Short Story competition for his story entitled "Lemon Creams

Judy Hamilton

- Born in Dublin in 1954 and studied at NCAD and the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
- She is a painter of great skill and sensitivity whose colour pallet, although muted and naturalistic at first glance, contains flashes of vivid brilliance.
- Her work is in private collections and those of organisations such as City Bank (Dublin and London), Hewlett Packard, IBEC, AIB and OPW.
- This exhibition marks a new departure, in which she reponds in paint to a range of poems, from Sappho and Virgil to Francis Ledwidge and Jane Hirschfield.

- He worked for some years in a monastry in Nigeria, West Africa and has spent time in Israel, Chicago and New York.
